No two days are the same

Our minds are programmed to collect information about people, places and sensory memories to navigate through our life on earth. When we need to make a decision we often refer to the past. e.g. our last meal at a restaurant or experiences in a particular setting. Its natural for our minds to do this to make sense of the world; ⁣yet sometimes, this isn’t helpful and may deter you from gaining new experiences. ⁣⁣

I’ve been taking photographs of the same places to support this idea that no two days are the same. The first four photos helpfully show that within a 20 minute timeframe, a landscape can change entirely. In fact, no two minutes are the same. We start each day with different energy levels and emotions. Everything from the weather, the season, the temperature and even our cells are not the same. ⁣⁣Even our preferences can change.
⁣⁣
Each time I find myself mulling over a decision or reason with my mind (although this can be useful at times) I like to sometimes remind myself to go on a whim and make a decision based on how I feel that day. ⁣⁣In doing so, I am greeted with new experiences, insights, opportunities to explore afar and afresh. Sometimes a ‘bad’ day is tarnished by former experiences. I can’t recall how many times I’ve said that I disliked getting up on Monday mornings (I’m a night owl) when in actuality, those days never pan out the same.
⁣⁣
Can you relate? If so, how can you find ways to halt the labelling and be guided by the present.⁣
